There’s nothing like a good sunset for an engagement session and Sedona provides some of the most spectacular sunsets in the country. When we spied Lindsay and Courtney’s engagement session that had the most beautiful natural lighting you could ever hope for, we decided you needed to see it as well.
What’s your favorite thing about each other?
When I asked Lindsay what her favorite things were about me she started spouting off a long list! She loves how loving and compassionate I am, and she said she also loves how independent, goal oriented, self-driven and motivated I am.
The first thing that comes to my mind about Linds is how dedicated and passionate she is about anything she does. Whether it’s to her family, me, work or our doggie, Sailor, she put forth the biggest effort to do whatever is needed. Also, her smile, dimples and that twinkle in her eyes when she looks at me makes me melt.
The Proposal: We made plans with my best friend and her husband to go to the drive-ins and Lindsay was acting strange the whole time…she couldn’t get comfortable. We went back to our house for games with our friends and she handed me her phone and asked me to watch this movie: http://show-vid.com/view/pcggdbm4/?watch-pcggdbm4 so I did but I had no idea what was going on. All eyes were on me and then she was on her knee saying something… I love you, will you marry me?! WHAT?! OMG THAT RING! IS THIS REAL LIFE?! I’m pretty sure I said it out loud. Is this real? I have NO idea what she said. I was in shock! She FINALLY proposed and the ring was amazing! I couldn’t move. I was shaking, I felt light headed. I said YES of course but OH MY GOONDESS, we’re engaged–FINALLY!
Tell us about your wedding!
We are getting married on March 28, 2015 (exactly one year from the engagement) at McDowell Mountain Ranch’s Community Center in Scottsdale, AZ.
I love how they answered our next question- it can stump some couples but not these two!
What three words would you use to describe your relationship?
Lindsay and I were having a hard time locking down just THREE words… so, I posted a Facebook status just to see what others thought about our relationship. We received some funny ones, like, Lez Be Honest, and some other really awesome responses. A couple of our favorite words are:
Fantastic, Strong, Powerful, Passionate, Selfless, Fun, Devoted, Soul Mates, Happiness, Loving and Real.
And our personal favorites are Fearless, Genuine and Admirable
What is your ideal date night?
We didn’t even have to stop and think about this one! It was our first date and is generally our anniversary date every year. Our ideal date night would include a home cooked meal that we prepare together (we’re a really great team in the kitchen!), a good movie and the Wild West 9 drive-ins and then home to share laughs and a couple drinks (always, always, Sailor Jerry’s Spiced Run and Dr. Pepper) to end the night.
